Regionals set for 3A, 2A, 1A

The South Florida Teams in 3A, 2A and 1A finished off district finals on Friday the 31st. The marquee match of the day was between arch rivals and class 2A powerhouses Palmer Trinity and Westminster.

Palmer Trinity seemed on the verge of a defeat at the hands of district rival Westminster Christian after going down two sets to one Friday.

In the pivotal fourth set, the Falcons rebounded from a 24-18 score to win the set 31-29. With the set tied 24-24, the teams exchanged points before Palmer took the lead and never looked back.

''The girls basically pulled themselves out of a hole. They kept themselves in the game and gave it all their heart,'' said Palmer Trinity assistant coach Lauren Santa Cruz. ``They didn't fold under pressure. The best team won.''
