District Volleyball Playoffs: Broward - Part 2 of 3

As The District Playoffs progress from Quarterfinal to Semifinals the pressure increases for teams and coaches as matches get tighter and more competitive.

The first day saw mostly expected results through out South Florida with a few slight upsets and several 5 set thrillers that had fans cheering and jumping in their seats. As the week continues what will be the upset game?

No. 1 Hollywood Hills and No. 2 Plantation both swept their semifinal matches and will face each other in the District 11-6A championship Thursday at 4 at South Broward High.

Hollywood Hills: Senior Taylor Miller had 16 kills, nine digs and four blocks to lead the Spartans over South Plantation 25-12, 25-6, 25-23. Aya De La Rosa added 12 service points and seven digs in the winning effort.

For Plantation, Jenna Keeler had 15 kills, 11 digs, nine blocks and three service points to lead the Colonels over South Broward 25-20, 25-19, 25-11. Ann-Lory Pierre added 13 service points, nine digs, four kills and four blocks for the Colonels.

Previous Match: Hollywood Hills defeated Plantation 3-1 back on Oct. 5.
