This last week was filled with special performances in key games for many teams as the top teams start to see just how they shape up against their yearly rivals and are finding out that new teams are making their mark on the South Florida Volleyball scene.
Unfortunately we are unable to see all the games and rely mostly on the coaches, newspapers and parents. We know that there are many deserving players that are instrumental to their teams success.
Below are Top Performances from September 26th- October 3rd, 2009 in South Florida:
Top Performers: Broward
Kelly Marble of St. Thomas Aquinas had a triple double with 16 kills, 15 service points, 12 digs and 5 aces in three set d. over Douglas.
Keara Fullerton of South Plantation had 15 kills, 9 blocks in four set d. over Ft. Lauderdale.
Tatiana Berger of Pine Crest had 18 kills and 5 digs in three set d. over Miami Pace.
Morgan Barry of University School had 14 kills and 10 digs vs. Dr. Krop.
Suzie Solenski of Cardinal Gibbons had 10 kills, 6 blocks and 2 digs in three set d. over Westminster Academy.
Leigh Andrew of Westminster Academy had 17 kills and 4 digs vs. Cardinal Gibbons.
Melissa Le of Flanagan had 23 assists, 8 service points and 4 kills in three set d. over Coral Springs Charter.
Elizabeth McHugh of West Broward had 12 kills, 4 blocks and 3 digs while Emily Navarrete controlled the back with 27 digs and added 5 service points in three set d. over Cypress Bay.
Jenna Keeler of Plantation had 18 digs, 10 kills, 4 blocks, 4 service points and 2 aces in a three set d. over Everglades.
Brianna O'Neil of Chaminade-Madonna had 18 kills, 16 service points and 5 aces as April Sicam added 19 digs, 14 service points and 3 aces in four set d. over Hollywood Hills.
Kelley Ray of Highlands Christian had 16 kills in three set d. over Florida Bible.
