High School Volleyball Preview: MIAMI-DADE COUNTY

A Consistent theme throughout these previews has been the continued improvement of players and teams within South Florida. Miami-Dade boast two legitimate contenders to a State Title and many talented teams that are capable of making strong pushes into the post season.

In 6A Ferguson has a deep and talented senior team lead by Coach Greg Shanower. The team returns a group off ALL-County players that are focused on one goal: Winning the State Championship. Coach Shanower is sure to keep them focused because several Dade county teams have the same goal in mind.

Ferguson's core is lead by Sr. Kristin Walewski S, who has a group of talented hitters to feed: Sr. Mackenzie Webster OH; Sr. Alexandra Beverly MB; Sr. Alexandra Walewski OH and Sr. Danielle Pohl MB.

In 2A Palmer Trinity has a team that could compete with many DIV II Universities. This team is lead by Paulina Prieto, all state first team and the Miami Herald player of the year.
