HOT OFF THE PRESSES: NEW WOMENS U.S PROFESIONAL LEAGUE TO START PLAY IN 2011


I am pleased to announce that a new indoor womens professional volleyball league will be starting play in 2011 with one of the teams based in Miami. This should be great news to the players and fans of the game of volleyball. This opens more opportunities for elite players to continue their playing carrers beyond colleges and universities.

Former NFL Player to start indoor professional volleyball league for women.

Former NFL defensive back, Vestee Jackson, a former player for the Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins to start a professional indoor volleyball league for women. Games to begin in the Fall of 2011, with 6 teams in the following markets; Chicago, Miami, Atlanta, Tampa, Minneapolis and Orlando.

About the league:

The league is called the Women's National Volleyball League (WNVL). Teams will consist of 12 active game players. Each team will play 4 pre-season games and 10 regular season games, followed by the WNVL Playoffs and Championship.
