This last week was filled with special performances in key games for many teams as the top teams start to see just how they shape up against their yearly rivals and are finding out that new teams are making their mark on the South Florida Volleyball scene.
Unfortunately we are unable to see all the games and rely mostly on the coaches, newspapers and parents. We know that there are many deserving players that are instrumental to their teams success.
Below are Top Performances from September 20th-26th, 2009 in South Florida:
Broward County
Caiti Donohoe of Cardinal Gibbons had one kill, 33 assists, six digs and three service points. Jessica Wynn had two blocks, 14 kills, seven digs and two service vs. Lake Highland Prep. Cardinal Gibbons won the silver bracket championship of the East Coast Challenge.
Sara Faxner of Nova led with 16 kills, 13 digs, nine points and three blocks. Kathy Thompsom had 13 kills, 10 assists and seven points in d. of Plantation in three sets.
Tashalyn Begon of Archbishop McCarthy had 12 kills, 9 service points, 4 digs and 3 blocks in d. of Cypress Bay in three sets.
Ashlyn Boll of South Plantation had 16 kills, 16 service and 12 digs in a complete effort vs. South Broward.
Lauren Lewkowicz of Coral Springs had 17 digs, 16 kills, 2 service points in d. of Taravella.
Emily Navarrete of West Broward had 27 digs, 15 service points in d. over CS Charter.
Ashlyn Boll of S. Plantation had 18 service points, 16 kills and 12 digs in a complete effort vs. Hollywood Hills.
Katie Hillman of Cardinal Gibbons had 12 kills, 8 service points, 3 aces, 3 blocks; Molly Macek 17 digs, 7 service points in d. of Pines Charter in three sets.
Victoria Basso of Olympic Heights had 15 kills, 6 digs 5 aces in d. of Ft. Lauderdale.
Deborah Gordon of Calvary Christian had 25 kills, 3 service points, 3 aces; Kaylee Groeneveld 18 kills, 3 service points in d. over Pine Crest.
Tatiana Berger of Pine Crest had 23 kills, 17 digs, 3 blocks; Taylor Bracco 28 assists, 7 service points, 5 aces vs. Calvary Christian.

Great spotlight information, John!! I love to see that your website has more updated information about South Florida Ladies volleyball than any newspaper around!
I must urge coaches and organizers to help John and his blog by remembering always to send your teams' scores and stats so that it can be posted on the blog!
Also I urge you to send more than just stats, but stories about your teams, your members, your organizations, even your booster clubs and parent-helpers!
Again, I commend John for his awesome blog, the best I've seen by far!!
